Hydrant Flushing Notice:
Water main cleaning via hydrant flushing will take place in our Marlboro and Manalapan service areas during the evening hours from April 1st through approximately May 9th.
Flushing is normally done in the Spring and/or Fall to remove any sediment and iron residue that has built up in the system. It is now necessary to flush in order to prevent a decline in the quality of the water and to prevent future maintenance problems.
Your water may be discolored for a few hours afterward. By opening up your cold water taps only for 10 to 15 minutes you can flush the discoloration through your pipes more rapidly once we are done flushing your street. Please make sure you see the water running clear again before doing any white loads of laundry.
Also, please assist us by keeping your garbage cans up on the curb, not in the street so they are not washed down the street.
If you have any questions, please call our office at 732-946-9333 between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Thank you.
